Meet Our Founder

It all started with a dream, and a sewing machine. A lifelong lover of design (and dogs!) Annie Selke cut her teeth in merchandising and product development at Saks Fifth Avenue and Ferragamo. Then, harnessing her experience and passion, she returned to her home, in the Berkshires of Massachusetts, and launched Pine Cone Hill from her dining room table in 1994. Dash & Albert rugs followed 10 years later.

Dash & Albert Rugs

When Annie launched Dash & Albert Rugs in 2004, she named the company after her two beloved dogs. We’ve been revolutionizing the industry ever since, with cotton, performance, wool, and natural fiber rugs in a wide variety of patterns and hues (custom sizes, too!) that will brighten every. single. space.

Our Australian Story

Our Australian Story

Carly, originally a Sydney-sider, spent the last 18 years as an ex-pat living in Boston, Massachusetts. She and her husband were married just a few towns away from where the Annie Selke products came to life. As an Interior Designer, she has been using the brand from its early days and has incorporated the rugs into almost every project over the last 18 years. Returning with her family to Australia, she is proud to bring a piece of classic New England design back with her. An iconic brand that prides itself on quality, sustainability and the breadth of its product range.

Our Mission

We're dedicated to creating pieces for your home that inspire joy. Our styles are designed to delight and made to last a lifetime.

Designed for Happiness

We all deserve a home that makes us happy, one that is filled with people, pets, and things we love. From showstopping rugs to sumptuously soft linens, our collection is filled with vibrant colors, exclusive patterns, and designer details that will help you create a warm and inviting home.

Made for Life

Every time we dream up a product for you, we ask: Will this piece become the next beloved heirloom? Will this piece stand the test of time? Our designs are superbly crafted to stand up to the hustle and bustle of everyday life and to look just as fresh in your home 10, 20, or, dare we say, 50 years from now.

Responsibly Sourced

We like to say our products are made by hand, with heart. We’re committed to working with partners who adhere to fair-labour practices and embrace sustainable production, including water-saving methods, recycled packaging, and solar-powered facilities.
